Following the segment on This Morning from Dr Esho on the safe guide to cosmetic surgery, we wanted to highlight further the importance of these safe guides.
First and foremost, its recommended to use a registered clinic. We are a registered NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) Clinic which is structured around four themes – prioritise people, practise effectively, preserve safety and promote professionalism and trust.
Using a Practioner like ourselves, under the umbrella of NMC means that as nursing/doctor medical professionals there is a contingency plan in place if to say there is any issues following treatment. Because as medical professionals they are trained and qualified to be able to safely prescribe and treat effectively without endangering clients.
There is also regular contact as well after treatment. We always have access to the email which we try to respond to as quick as possible, and after treatment we give an aftercare form out that has an out of hours contact number in case of emergencies. It is these emergencies in which the medical professional is well trained and qualified to deal with and knows the correct procedure to follow, alike highlighted by Dr Esho whom treated Love Island favourites who suffered from bad lip filler from not using a professional who values duty of care.
This is another point which is imperative to safe guarding cosmetic surgery which we pride ourselves on. Duty of care is essential for setting professionalism in this industry but also trust. important for us to be trained in when to treat a client and what treatment would be best suited to what the client is hoping for but its equally as important for us to know when not to treat too. We will always put the client first, which sometimes even means their health before their wishes. Under no circumstances would be treat yourself if we don’t seem fit, whether this be because you’ve already had enough filler, it’s our duty of care to not only deliver safe treatments but to also advise when we think is appropriate treatment for yourself.
