Microsclerotherapy is the removal of Leg Thread Veins which are visible.
Here at Advanced Skin Lounge we are offer treatment for Leg Thread Veins. Using a prescription medication called Sclerovein, the veins are injected with the solution which actively induces damage to the vein wall and in time will result in contraction of the vein wall causing it to reduce by up to 80%, making the aesthetic appearance better.
You will be required to come into clinic for a consultation. This is to assess your suitablility for treatment. You will be asked a series of questions to ensure that there are no contraindications for treatment.
The following is a list of absolute contraindications:
- Any Varicose Veins (large raised veins)
- History Of Deep Vein Thrombosis or Pulmonary Embolism
- Inflammation of the veins
- New or recently diagnosed Cardiac Problems
- Any Blood disorder
We will assess your Leg Thread veins. We will advise you about the procedure and discuss all the risks and complications that can arise following your treatment . At this point we will project how many treatments you may require, this can be up to 3 sessions. The sessions will always be spaced 4 weeks apart.
At consultation you will also be advised of the Aftercare required so you can be well prepared. We will ask you to obtain compression hosiery that you will be required to wear 48 hours post procedure.
The treatment can be slightly uncomfortable due to use of a small needle, the needles required are extremely small. The treatment area will be cleansed prior to treatment. Once treated the area may feel hot and itchy. The area will look very red and raised, there is also a small risk of bruising. It is important to consider that the veins can look worse before they appear better, this is normal as the blood coagulates within the vessel.
Following the aftercare sheet post procedure is the most important part of your treatment, this ensures you get optimum results from your sessions.
Below is a list of the aftercare, please take note of these as this may determine when you choose to have your treatment:
